We can't believe that Ella Henderson was voted off the X Factor this weekend. Not only does it mean that we won't get to hear her sing every weekend, but we don't get to see what hair wizardry Jamie Stevens has got up to with her any more. Boo hoo!

Earlier today we brought you a step-by-step guide to recreating Ella Henderson's amazing retro make-up look from Sunday night's X Factor. Now, X Factor's official hair stylist Jamie Stevens explains exactly how to recreate Ella’s amazing hair look.

To begin, put a low side parting into the hair & blow dry, I used TRESemme’s Weightless Volumizing Mousse & a medium round brush.

We loved Ella Henderson’s retro makeup look on Sunday night, so we asked the official X Factor make-up artist, Julia Carta, to explain exactly how to recreate this amazing look.

1) For a look like this it is essential to prepare your skin first. We gave Ella an Eve Taylor facial to loosen dead skin cells and smooth the skin surface. I then used Vita Liberata Skin Plumping Peptide Mist to regulate the pH level of her skin.

2) Next I applied Urban Decay Pore Perfecting Complexion Potion, giving it time to settle before I applied make-up.
