Marcus Collins has admitted that one of the best things about being famous now is being lent fancy clothes.

The X Factor runner-up told the Mirror about going shopping for an outfit to wear for the Brits: “I was like, ‘OK I’m going in for the big spend, let’s see if I can part with me card’, because normally I get a sweat on because I don’t know if there’s enough money on there.

“I saw a jacket I really liked and I looked at the price and thought ‘Oh my God’. But then the designer, Philip, said ‘Come downstairs and I’ll show you the collection. Is there anything you want to borrow?’ People lend me clothes now! It’s so cool. So cool. I got the jacket.”

Asked whether he had splashed out on a designer wardrobe, he laughed and said: “I haven’t got no cash, I’m skint!"

He also let the Mirror in on his beauty regime secrets saying: "I’ve got acne scarring I think! But I use Yon-Ka and I see a lady called Nilam Patel who is the owner of HD Brows. I go see her and she sorts me brows and gives me face peels and makes sure I don’t look like a scruff all the time."
