Grammys 2012: the red carpet

The Grammys is one of the red carpet events where regular long-frock-fancy-hair rules don't always apply. The music business likes things a bit edgier.

This year was different, though, with most of the stars getting dressed up and looking their shiniest and loveliest - we were particularly taken with Kelly Osbourne (has she made a bad red carpet choice yet this year?!), Jessie J, and Katy Perry, as well as woman of the night Adele. It was left to a few, like Fergie, Nicki Minaj and Robyn to show more of an edge. Oh, and HOW did Alicia Keys manage to keep her toes in those tiny shoes?

Lady Gaga managed to sidestep the red carpet, but we love her crazy-as-usual outfit, and the fact that she was snapped with our own Sir Paul McCartney.
